The first and most important factor should be your concern for the Moriches area, its people and their businesses. As a community member, everything in the community affects you in some way, and your support of the Chamber demonstrates your commitment to a better Moriches area.
The Chamber will try to assist any members with concerns as much as possible. We’ve had concerns on land rezoning, garbage pick-up, traffic headaches, planning for future activities – many, many subjects – and the Chamber helped resolve them.
As a group, the Chamber maintains a high public profile, keeping your name in front of others, and sponsoring advertising and promotions as a group to lessen costs and bring commerce into the Moriches area. The Chamber offers social and community events to enlighten your knowledge and broaden your group of friends.
The high point of Chamber activities and the Moriches’ greatest yearly events: Arts, Crafts, Summer Concerts, Parades, great food, prizes, and awards fun for everyone! The Spring Fair, Summer Arts & Crafts Festival and Chinese Auction, and the Fall Festival are the fairs held on Main Street. Every member, whether located on Main Street or not is invited to participate with a table or display.
We sponsor the Summer Concert Series, St. Patrick’s Day Parade, and also the March of the Goblins. The list goes on. The importance of our community gathering together to celebrate the Moriches area is overwhelming. A sense of pride is developed. We’re here and proud of it!
There are two types of Chambers of Commerce: Those that exist and those that don’t. The Moriches area has one. It is here to serve and support you and the Moriches area. Help it help you.
