December Recap!

As we close the chapter on 2025, December stood out as a month filled with community spirit, celebration, and meaningful connections for the Chamber of Commerce of the Moriches.

We began the season with a beautiful Tree and Menorah Lighting, a cherished tradition that brought residents, families, and local businesses together to celebrate the warmth and inclusivity of the holiday season. The evening was made even more special by performances from three local dance schools; U Gotta Dance, Fearless Dance Company, and Dance Elektra, whose talent and energy delighted the crowd, along with festive musical selections performed by students from the Center Moriches School District. Their contributions truly showcased the spirit, creativity and dedication of our local youth.

Later in the month, members gathered for our annual Holiday Dinner and Installation Party, a wonderful evening of fellowship and reflection. During this event, we were proud to officially welcome Rich Raupp as a Director on our Chamber Board. We look forward to his contributions, leadership and continued commitment to strengthening our business community.

The evening also gave us the opportunity to recognize and celebrate several outstanding local businesses that reached significant milestone anniversaries in 2025. These businesses represent decades of dedication, resilience, and service to the Moriches area:

  • GP Landscape and Design – 25 years

  • Henry Leuthardt Nurseries – 105 years

  • Island Federal Credit Union – 20 years

  • Ringhoff’s Fuel Oil – 65 years

  • Spectral Resolutions – 25 years

  • The Harbor Church – 40 years

  • Timms Petroleum  – 25 years

Each of these organizations plays an important role in the fabric of our community, and we are honored to recognize their longevity and continued success.

December 2025 was a true reflection of what makes the Moriches community special—collaboration, tradition, and a shared commitment to supporting one another. As we look ahead to the new year, the Chamber remains energized and grateful for our members, partners, and neighbors who make everything we do possible.

We look forward to another year of growth, connection, and celebration together.
