New Attractions at 2019 Fall Fair

The 2019 Fall Fair on October 19 was met with great weather and an even greater turnout. From tasty food to excellent gift options for the holidays, the Fall Fair had a great variety of stands for every Moriches resident.

Food for Every Taste

First off, the food options were vast, as a street fair should have. Obviously, there was the basic street fair food, such as funnel cakes and gyros. However, one of the vendors stood out to me the most, Fat Boys BBQ. Good barbecue food is hard to come across in the form of a food truck, but Fat Boys BBQ delivered. They had real, smoked brisket and pulled pork. The brisket was outstanding, and the business is locally owned in Center Moriches. It doesn’t get much better than that.

Pickle stands are always a street fair staple, and the Perfect Pickle was this fair’s best pickle vendor. They had homemade pickles of all flavors, ranging from sriracha to brown mustard. For only $3 I was able to get two pickles on a stick. The Perfect Pickle is a Long Island, locally owned, business and there is nothing more important than supporting small business.

Wicked Sisters Organic Tea was another hit, the line was long and full of excited customers. Based in Westhampton Beach, it has all organic teas and coffees, along with cookies and crumpets. Offering a variety of black teas, green teas, and other pure teas for prices that everyone can afford, this vendor was unique and impressive.

Arts & Crafts for Every Style

Handmade crafts are always a big part of a street fair, and the 2019 Fall Fair didn’t lack these options. One vendor was selling their beautifully crafted wood carvings, which consisted of many decorations for the home. From NYPD thin blue line carvings, to welcome signs for the front door, there was something for everyone.

Our Own Candle Company brought homemade candles with many scents such as pine, blackberry vanilla, and apple pie. These candles, being homemade, are something that you can trust to not have any harmful chemicals that are in their factory-made counterparts.

One vendor really stood out to me, because it was something I’ve never seen at a fair before. Grateful Gem Head offered real gems and stones for reasonable prices. These gems were hand collected by the business when traveling the world. They had real quartz, amethyst and other minerals and gems.

These are just a glimpse of everything this year’s Fall Fair had to offer, and to truly experience the great things that it has to offer, you have to stop by. The next street fair is the Spring Fair, coming up in Spring 2020. This fair will have even more of the gorgeous weather and even more wonderful vendors.
