2022 Saint Patrick’s Day Parade

We are excited to announce our 2022 Saint Patrick’s day Parade!

The Parade will take place on Sunday March 13th @ 2pm! The rain date is Sunday March 27th.

This year’s Grand Marshal is Mr. Kenneth Johnson!

1st Annual Winter Wonderland Street Fair and Festival!

The Chamber of Commerce of the Moriches is so very excited to announce the 1st Annual Winter Wonderland Street Fair and Festival! We have a wonderful committee of Chamber members that dreamed up this Winter Wonderland event and they are working with Santa’s elves to make it a Main Street hit! There will be vendors, music, hot chocolate, and more secret surprises to come! Don’t fret, Santa will be there, too! This will be happening the weekend of the Christmas Tree lighting and the Christmas parade. The Winter Wonderland will be the cherry on the cake to end a truly magical Holiday Weekend for our Moriches area!

What a successful 2021 Fall Fair!

Meet Our 2021 Veterans Day Grand Marshal!

We are happy to announce our very first female Veterans Day Parade Grand Marshal, Corporal Jean Littman!

Corporal Jean Littman, of the U.S. Marines, was a trailblazer. She was determined to become a Marine at a time when it was incredibly uncommon to do so, The Korean War era. Jean spent 4 years in the Marines serving her country during wartime. She came back to the United States, got married, had 4 amazing sons, and has continued to work and contribute to her community for over 40 years! Jean still volunteers as the Communications assistant for the LI Chapter of the Woman Marines Association.

This was such a difficult decision for our board because all of our nominees this year were spectacular!

Please celebrate with us, and welcome Jean as our Grand Marshal for our annual Veterans Day Parade, on November 7th at 2pm.

New York State is working to support small businesses throughout the COVID-19 crisis, by providing up-to-date resources and information about economic recovery and COVID-19-related loans, funding and business counseling. The New York Forward Loan Fund (NYFLF) is a new economic recovery loan program aimed at supporting New York State small businesses, nonprofits and small landlords as they reopen after the COVID-19 outbreak and NYS on PAUSE.

Volunteers Needed – We Need Your Help

The Chamber of Commerce of the Moriches and the Downtown Beautification Organization are looking for volunteers with a green thumb. We have recently hung up our Summertime flower baskets along Main Street and we need help keeping them watered this season. Anyone interested in helping out should contact Gerry Sapanaro of Moriches Bay Realty at (631) 878-0003 to find out more.

We also are looking for folks to help out with a small planting project at the welcome sign on Montauk Highway leading into Center Moriches. We will be planting some ornamental grasses and flowers this Saturday, May 30th. Again, please contact Gerry Sapanaro at (631) 878-0003 for more details.
