Governor Andrew Cuomo’s office has published a PDF entitled “A Guide to Reopening New York & Building Back Better“. This is an important read for any small business owner as it help us to understand the state’s plans as we continue to fight the COVID-19 pandemic and how it will affect our families and businesses. New York State has also put up a Regional Monitoring Dashboard that shows what areas are ready to reopen and what benchmarks need to be met by others.

Town of Brookhaven Creates Emergency Micro-Enterprise Business Relief Grant Program

The Town of Brookhaven has received a Special Allocation of funds provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and has created an Emergency Microenterprise Business Relief Grant Program to help mitigate the economic hardships experienced by small businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Saint Patrick’s Parade – POSTPONED!

The health and safety of the residents of our communities is, as always, the primary concern for the Chamber of Commerce of the Moriches. The Chamber wishes to assist in the prevention of the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and therefore both the St. Patrick’s Dinner Party, Friday March 13th, and the St. Patrick’s Parade, Sunday March 15th, are being POSTPONED. The new date is still undetermined. We will send communications once these events have been re-scheduled.
